“This is the third time I have visited Venterfair with both family and friends. I love it. I learn more about Walcha each time. Our opportunity to visit your farm makes Australian geography come alive. We have enjoyed our winter break and my two grandsons have really appreciated the opportunity to see the other side of the Great Dividing Range. Lucius had a ball mustering the cattle! Thank you so much Jeanette & John”

Venterfair is located on a 5000 acre working sheep & cattle property. Whilst staying at Venterfair there are a large range of experiences available including working with friendly sheep, cattle & dogs, pottering in the vegetable garden, or assisting the owners with the general upkeep of the property. With advance notice, we are happy to negotiate any "real life" farming requests.
If a farming experience isn't what you're looking for, there are some great drives and walks throughout the property with wildlife a plenty guaranteed. At the end of the day enjoy the spectacular sunsets which change by the minute.
The Walcha and New England district has a wide range of things to do; you can take a short drive and explore the magnificent National Parks with spectacular waterfalls and gorges. There are interesting walks in the parks up to a three day one down the gorge if you are keen.
In Walcha admire the open air Gallery around the town, along with the newer Art gallery.
Walcha has an abundance of sporting facilities including a beautiful 18 hole Golf course, tennis courts, bowling greens, squash courts, swimming pool and good trout fishing areas. Walcha has a great little shopping centre or and hour away will get you to Tamworth or Armidale. Dining out can be done at the local Clubs, Pubs and Motel and a favourite is the Walcha Road Hotel which is only just down the road from Venterfair.
